What does air changes per hour (ACH) mean?
ACH is the number of times the entire air volume of a room is replaced each hour. An ACH of 6 means the room's full air volume is exchanged six times per hour, or once every ten minutes. How do I convert CFM to ACH?
Multiply the airflow in CFM by 60 to get cubic feet per hour, then divide by the room volume in cubic feet: ACH = CFM times 60 divided by volume. For example, 1,000 CFM into a 10,000 cubic foot room gives 6 ACH. To go the other way, CFM = ACH times volume divided by 60. This tool solves for ACH, CFM, or volume from the other two.
What ACH does code require for my space?

Is ACH the same as outdoor air ventilation?
